So I got my copy of Surfin' the Highway through the post yesterday. (You can't believe how lucky I felt to find out that there's actually a store in my country that SELLS it 8D ) Oh, and it's the new anniversary version, of course. Not the original first one. But anyways! 83
I loved reading it! ~ Finally I get to see where these guys originally came from.. (and finally came to understand what the heck is "Fizzball" X'D Must try that sometime! Maybe on my 18th birthday.) And holy cowpie, it just.. opened up many facts I didn't know. 8D ANYWAYS ~
The christmas comic kinda inspired me on this one.. I think Max was adorably cute with his new scarf. >w< And.. I wanted finally add Sam too, so I imagined a scarf for him too. 8D Imagination is a neat little effect..
and best of all.. it's all traditional again! \o/ oh how I love messing up with my colourpencils.. took a lot of time to make Max look whiteish again (seriously, I thought I screw the drawing up.. I accidentally coloured him too blue O_o ) And I used an eraser to make some.. misty fog effects. I hope it actually look like mist.. it took some guts for me to use the eraser on those colours I worked so hard for ~
..and why am I blabbing again? I have no idea. 8D Well, here's Sam and Max for you.. again! \o/
Sam & Max (c) Steve Purcell
I'm sorry, Max definitely looks more carefully drawn than Sam does. He'll definitely deserve a drawing of his own someday, trust me. ;_;
You did a swell job! ^^ Color pencils are HARD to master! Gratz that you get the book. I wish my bookstore sells it. Anywho, great job! Wish to see more from you
Pretty good usage of colors and great drawin´.
But nah.. I've really begun to like Sam, too! XD Still doesn't beat Max, though!
Hehe, you should keep looking.. they might sell it in the place you'd least expect!
I love your Signature!
